Flagging Tapes

These brightly coloured tapes (non-adhesive) are commonly used by for marking out of trees and areas in forest for surveying or trails marking purposes. Apart from these standard usages, the flagging tapes are sometimes also used for decoration purposes as the colour of these tapes are very eye catching and have can produce excellent contrasting effects when the colours are matched properly.

Flagging Tapes, as is evident from the name, is made up from fluorescent shades so they are clearly visible in the dark. Their function is to effectively “flag” from a distance and the bright colors are deliberately chosen due to enhanced visibility. This is a very practical solution that has several applications in different industries these days.

  • These tapes can be used indoors and outdoors for purposes like surveying, search & rescue, access & trail marking, forestry, environmental studies, triage, construction, landscaping, excavating, identification of trees or hazards, and locating underground cables or pipe.
  • Excellent formulations guarantee durability and longevity – each batch is carefully inspected before being deemed ready for sale. They have great tensile strength as well.
  • They are made of PVC, which is weatherproof to withstand harsh conditions like rain or snow as the durable material remains pliant in cold weather.
  • The tapes are unaffected by UV rays so the colors don’t fade even on prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight.
  • As displayed in the product pictures, they are available in a multitude of colors like red, green, yellow etc. so visibility is never impaired. Glow colors fluoresce beneath a black-light as well.
  • Flagging tape has no adhesive and does not stick or adhere to itself – it is easy to use and apply without unwanted stickiness. Moreover, they tear and tie easily by hand.

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. Q Can I tear the tape with my bare hand?
    A Yes, you can do so. The material of the flagging tape is soft and slightly stretchable but you will still be able to tear it with your barehand easily.
  2. Q Is this surveying tape adhesive?
    A No, the tape is non-adhesive. If you require the tape to be adhesive, you might want to consider our floor marking tapes or pipe identification tapes instead.
  3. Q Can I use the tape to cordon off areas like a barrier tape?
    A Sure, you can do so. However, to cordon off an area, we will suggest to use a regular barrier tape or those barrier tapes with wordings so that it is more obvious to passerby that the area is out of bound.
  4. Q I'm planning to use the tape for forest surveying. Can I tie the flagging tape around a tree?
    A Yes, you can easily tie the tape around the tree without damaging the tape. In fact, some customers even uses the tape to make ribbons.
  5. Q Does the tapes glow in the dark?
    A No, the flagging tapes does not glow in the dark, though the colour of the tape is quite bright and striking.
