G210 Thermal Imaging Monocular

When a shoreline or outdoor site is too dark to observe by eye, the G210 gives you a thermal view of the surroundings. It shows differences in heat so you can scan the area without relying on visible light.

Adjust the view to help interpret the scene, capture observations for later review, and use Wi-Fi to view and save photos and videos on your phone.

Key benefits

  • Scan areas after dark: Observe thermal differences even where there is no visible light.
  • Choose how you view the scene: Switch colour palettes to change how warmer and cooler areas appear, or enlarge the displayed image with digital zoom.
  • Keep observations for later review: Record photos and videos instead of relying on memory.
  • Review observations on your phone: Connect through Wi-Fi to view and save photos and videos using the companion app.

Description

Why It Stands Out

Along a dark shoreline or around an outdoor perimeter, ordinary observation depends on the light available. The G210 gives you another way to examine the scene by displaying thermal differences between objects and their surroundings. Marine personnel, security teams and field users can use it to scan areas after dark and observe targets that contrast thermally with their background.

As you move between viewing positions, the scene may be easier to interpret using a different colour palette. White Hot displays warmer areas in lighter shades, while Black Hot reverses that presentation. You can choose from six palettes to suit what you are observing, then use 2× or 4× digital zoom to enlarge a selected area on screen.

If you need to revisit an observation, take a photo or record a video and save it to the built-in storage. Wi-Fi connectivity also lets you view and save photos and videos on your phone through the companion app. You can adjust the zoom and colour palette through the app, giving you access to these viewing controls from your phone.

Common Applications:

  • Marine and offshore personnel observing shorelines, surrounding waters and outdoor areas after dark.
  • Security teams scanning outdoor perimeters and retaining photos or videos of observations.
  • Field personnel who need handheld thermal observation during outdoor work.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can the G210 be used in complete darkness?

Yes. The G210 detects infrared radiation to produce a thermal image, so it does not need visible light. How well a target stands out depends on its thermal contrast with the surroundings, the viewing distance and conditions.

2. What is the difference between detection and recognition distance?

Detection means seeing that a target is present. Recognition means distinguishing its general type, such as a person or vehicle; it does not mean identifying a particular person.

The distances in the specifications use reference targets of the listed sizes. Actual viewing performance depends on the conditions and thermal contrast.

3. Can I save photos and videos?

Yes. Capture photos and videos when you need to retain an observation for later review. The G210 saves JPG photos and MP4 videos to its built-in storage, with approximately 13.8 GB available after system use. You can also view and save photos and videos on your phone through the companion app.

4. Can the G210 connect to a phone?

Yes. Connect through Wi-Fi to view and save photos and videos on your phone using the companion app. You can also adjust the digital zoom and colour palette through the app. Enable Wi-Fi when needed; it is off by default when the G210 starts.
