Description

Dangerous burns are a very real hazard in industrial settings. Select appliances and pieces of machinery are capable of producing excessive amounts of heat, especially those with gears or rotating parts. Employees and other individuals who work around these devices require a warning tool that can alert them if the machinery is too hot to handle.

A Traffic Light Temperature Indicating Label is an effective and reliable way to determine if a piece of equipment has reached a temperature that has become too dangerous to come into contact with. Simply affix a label to any piece of equipment that has the potential to generate excessive amounts of heat. When the equipment is below a temperature of 50° C (122° F), the label will be a solid green color. Once the temperature has reached a point of being between 50° and 70° C (122° – 158° F), the label will change to a solid amber color. If the machinery should exceed 70° C, the label will reflect a solid red color. The adhesive on the label is strong enough to ensure it will stay on most clean, flat surfaces, but can also be easily removed by hand.

By utilizing a the same familiar color scheme of a traffic light, operators will be able to know at a moment’s notice if a piece of equipment is within acceptable temperature standards and whether or not it’s at a safe handling temperature. Provides an excellent measure of safety in situations where employees may be surrounded by multiple distractions.
